It’s always a bit nerve wracking organising an event, there’s all the advertising to arrange, people to book and the showroom must look immaculate. Then we get to the day and will everything work, will anything go wrong, will anyone even turn up!?
So in light of that, the team here at Counter Interiors would like to say thank you once again to Ann Reynolds for hosting an informative and truly flavourful event. We would also like to thank Potes Smart Homes for all their expert advice on home and kitchen automation, York’s Coffee Emporium for their generous supply of exquisite coffee beans and our suppliers; Smeg, Cosentino, Blanco and Hafele for sending us some really cool contributions for our goodie bags.
Last but not least we would like to thank all of you for turning up and making this event another success.
The day started with the usual, bacon butties. There really isn’t a better way to start the weekend than with a bacon butty and a strong coffee and fortunately we had both. Crisped to perfection, we made short work of breakfast, the Emporium Espresso Blend bringing instant relief to the lost weekend lie in.
Once we’re up and running the preparation starts. First up Ann prepares fillets of steak or fish with herbs, spices, fruit juices and oil which are then vac sealed in our Siemens vacuum drawer. This stores food under high pressure forcing the flavours from the herbs and spices straight into the meat negating the need for overnight marinating. Store your vacuum sealed packets in the fridge until you’re ready to use.
Also in use was the steamer accessory for the compact oven. This useful accessory is placed into your oven filled with water. The steam is then forced up and through your food, in this case a stunning Risotto, leaving it light and soft with non of the sogginess associated with its boiled counterpart. For some of us, Risotto rice can be a challenge to get right. Yet, using this simple piece of equipment along with perfectly matched settings loaded straight from the Home Connect App and you too can enjoy a perfect Risotto, the way it was always meant to be served.
Other culinary delights included some delicious Mango Chutney party sausages, Steak and Salmon both marinated in their vacuum packs and a steamed Risotto.
